In the mysterious Hiphop Circus (12+), you step into the spectacular world of a traveling freaky circus troupe.
At first glance, the performers form a large, harmonious, composite family. They share joys and sorrows, eat together and practice their acts. Away from the clichéd glitz and glamour of the stage, a dark atmosphere prevails backstage, and the true nature of the derailed performers emerges. There is discontent, arguments take place and too much drinking. But in the end, they agree on one thing: they need each other...the show must go on!
In this energetic performance, choreographer Marco Gerris brings breaking and urban sports together with the circus discipline. A group of performers of parkour artists, a hip-hop dancer, a B-Boy, a pole artist and acrobats explore the limits of their abilities. Each time they challenge each other and seek a new balance. An explosive show where the performers clash with each other and then merge into one. DeeJay Irie spins live on stage. To his beats and soundscapes, breakers and acrobats show the most unimaginable combinations of movements and disciplines. During this overwhelming spectacle, you will feast your eyes and wonder: is it an act or have I entered a dream world?
